IdentityBR is a multiuse community center in downtown Baton Rouge, Louisiana which brings people together to celebrate individual identity as well as Louisiana’s unique identity as a state. It utilizes the attraction of coral reefs through a coral reef and Louisiana wet land education center to bring awareness to the community on sustainability in an environment that is comfortable and organized so that gathering, learning, and community connectivity naturally transpires. Its contemporary design is made up of sleek, angular planes, organic lines and shapes, and vibrant colors, patterns, and textures influenced by coral reefs.
IdentityBR exemplifies sustainable practices. It utilizes sustainable and recycled materials: such as the shipping containers that make up the building shell, natural daylighting, and ventilation.

This is a project we did located in Hunan, China. We were required to design the reception building and a separate building with hotel rooms in the style of our choosing. I chose a courtyard style space.

We did a service learning project in Franklin, LA. The building was in a historic district and we got to choose the use for the space. This project was really interesting because we usually work with an imaginary client, but with this one we got to go to Franklin, meet people in the community, and hear what they needed/wanted in the space we were designing.
I chose to design a coffee shop with an exterior covered area that could be used for large gatherings and events.
Sophomore year in the Interior Design program at LSU is when we first start actual design projects. Before that, we’re required to take art classes and a hand drafting class in order to apply for the program.
Our fall semester sophomore project was a retail store in the Perkins Rowe development in Baton Rouge. The store was going to have clothing for young professional women. I wanted to create a space that felt elegant and modern and was appropriate for the type of consumer it would be serving. For this project we hand rendered the floor plan and images that supported our design solution.
